About Languages Through Music

Languages Through Music (LTM) has been helping people of all ages learn languages through music since 2014. Our mission is simple: to make language learning more human, creative, and joyful by using music as a bridge to culture, memory, and connection.

Through songs, rhythm, and storytelling, Languages Through Music supports curious learners, educators, and institutions around the world to engage with languages in a deeper and more meaningful way.

Today, LTM brings together a global network of artists and educators to create learning experiences that celebrate multilingualism, creativity, and independent thinking.

Meet Desta

Desta Haile is a British-Eritrean teacher, musician, and writer with over twenty years of international experience in music and education.

Passionate about languages and the stories they carry, Desta combines her professional background to design experiences that are both academically grounded and emotionally engaging. Her work is shaped by travel, history, geography, and, above all — people.

Languages Through Music is the result of her belief that language learning should be immersive, creative, and rooted in real cultural exchange.
